• Account info — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or Google sign-in if you use it).
• Gameplay info — leagues, teams, picks, scores, and standings you create.
• Payment info — if you buy Premium, our processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We receive limited billing data (e.g., subscription status and the last digits/brand of your card) but never your full card number.
• Usage & device info — basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to run and secure the Service.

• operate the game (run leagues, score weeks, show standings);
• provide Premium features and process subscriptions;
• send important account and gameplay emails (e.g., password resets, pick reminders, weekly recaps);
• send occasional product or promotional emails (you can opt out anytime);
• generate AI features (recaps, pick guidance) from your league data; and
• protect against fraud, abuse, and security issues, and comply with the law.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Other league members — your team name, owner name, picks (after the weekly deadline), scores, and standings are visible within your league.
• Service providers (subprocessors) that help us run Burner, including Stripe (payments), email delivery providers, Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (AI features). Golf schedule, leaderboard, and ranking data comes from third-party sports data providers.
• Legal & safety — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service.

Promotional emails include an unsubscribe link. We may still send essential account or transactional messages (for example, password resets or billing notices).

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure, and to understand basic usage. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work without them.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (subject to limited exceptions).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (for example, passwords are stored hashed and payments are handled by Stripe). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Burner is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Depending on where you live (including under Virginia's consumer data protection law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email us at support@burnerfantasy.com. We'll respond as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we'll take reasonable steps to notify you. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
